Creative Commons License is a universally recognized way to licence your work over the Internet for those who blog, use flickr, develop some website or any other content over the Internet which they want NOT to be copied by others without reference.
Recently version 3.0 of Creative Commons License has been launched. When you link to your license, also include the rel=”license” attribute while linking to creative commons website.
Separating the “generic” from the US license
As part of Version 3.0, they have spun off the “generic” license to be the CC US license and created a new generic license, now known as the “unported” license. For more information about this change, see this more detailed explanation.
